About Pascaline
Practical guidance for caring for the people who cared for us.
Pascaline is a small, independent publication for adult children whose parents live in India, especially those who live in another city or another country. That might mean coordinating care from Dubai, London or Singapore, sharing the work with siblings across time zones, or being the one who lives nearby and needs support from the rest of the family. We also write for older adults in India planning ahead for themselves.
Our guides cover Indian homes, services, helplines, schemes and costs, with local examples from Bengaluru. Much of the practical advice, such as keeping a medication list or getting ready for a doctor’s visit, applies wherever your parents live.
What we publish
- Guides that answer one specific question, with checklists and worked examples where they help.
- Free tools and printables, such as a weekly care schedule and an emergency information sheet, that work without an account and keep what you type on your device.
What we don’t do
- We don’t diagnose, recommend treatments, or suggest changes to medicines.
- We don’t rate, rank or recommend care homes, agencies or other providers.
- We don’t accept payment to feature or mention any provider.
Who writes Pascaline
Pascaline Editorial
We don’t claim medical, legal or financial qualifications that we don’t have. Health and safety information is drawn from public-health bodies and government sources, which are cited in each guide. If a qualified reviewer checks a guide in future, the guide will say who they are and what they reviewed.
How we work
Every guide lists its sources and the date we last checked them. We may use AI writing tools to help draft and edit, but a person checks the facts against the sources and edits every guide before it’s published. If something looks wrong or out of date, please tell us and we’ll check it and correct it. Please read our disclaimer before acting on anything you read here.
